Pre School
Pre School Information
Our pre-school has its own building set in the grounds of Badgemore Primary School. We have two outdoor play areas - one hardstanding and one woodchipped, as well as the use of the primary school grounds.
Inside the main building the children have the freedom to experiment with sand, water, paint and playdough. A home corner encourages role play and there are various toys and activities to try out. In a quieter room books and a computer are available for the children to use.
The children at our pre-school enjoy stimulating play in the company of other children under the supervision of qualified and caring helpers. While having fun they are learning through play, beginning to socialise with their peers and starting to gain confidence and independence away from their main carer. We hope to prepare each child emotionally, physically, intellectually and socially for school.
We offer a varied curriculum and plan our learning around a theme which changes every half term. Throughout the year children are taken on regular trips to the library, theatre and swimming pool. Parents are invited to assemblies, end of term concerts, sports days and a summer outing.
Badgemore pre-school is managed by a committee comprising current parents.
