The Value for this term is:

A Successful Plastic-Free Lunch Day

We made a difference to our environment- we had no waste going to the landfill today!

Thank you for all your efforts

As part of our topic, ‘Can We Make A Difference?’ we held a Plastic-Free Lunch Day today.

A plastic-free lunch is a lunchbox where no plastic has been used to wrap the food. We suggest that a lunchbox with compartments or greaseproof paper is used instead.

The benefits to a plastic-free lunchbox is a reduction in the amount of waste sent to the landfill. Plastic takes up to 1,000 years to decompose.

Each child will receive one team point per item that is wrapped in plastic free material inside their lunchbox. All children who have school dinners will automatically receive 1 team point because their lunch will not be wrapped in plastic.

Today we made a difference to our environment.

Yours Sincerely,

The children of Cedar Class.
