The Value for this term is:
Resilience

Our ethos, vision and values

Our overriding aim at Badgemore is to provide a nurturing ethos within which children and adults feel valued and supported to achieve their potential.  Parents, governors and staff adopted a set of values which they feel are particularly relevant to children at Badgemore.  These values now form the basis for curriculum development and for all teaching and learning opportunities; values are taught both directly and discreetly and are modelled and demonstrated by staff and pupils alike.

Our core values are:

Respect

Friendship

Resilience

Courage.

Vision Statement:

Badgemore Primary School seeks to create a community where children are happy and safe with an inclusive, value-based education. Our cross-curriculum approach inspires, motivates and nurtures every child to strive and achieve the very best they can both academically and personally. The uniqueness of every child is celebrated. Learning is at the heart of everything we do, whether it is outside or inside. Learning is seen as a partnership between parents and our wider community. We are teaching children to have a strong sense of their place in the community and preparing them for their role as a caring and active citizen in modern Britain.

Safeguarding Statement:

Badgemore Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

We have a number of policies and procedures in place that contribute to our safeguarding commitment, including our Child Protection Policy which can be viewed in the Policies section of our website.

Sometimes we may need to share information and work in partnership with other agencies when there are concerns about a child’s welfare. We will ensure that our concerns about our pupils are discussed with his/her parents/carers first unless we have reason to believe that such a move would be contrary to the child’s welfare.

We actively support the Government’s Prevent Agenda to counter radicalism and extremism.

Our Safeguarding Leaders are Marion Arnold, Headteacher and Tim Hoskins, Deputy Headteacher.
