Welcome to Friends of Badgemore School (FOBS), we hope you find the information here useful and interesting.
Who are we?
The Friends of Badgemore School (FOBS) is a registered charity. We are an active team of parents and staff who help raise funds to support school activities with the aim to enhance the education and facilities at Badgemore. Our aim is to ensure that the children get the most from their time at Badgemore; whether this is through experiences and opportunities or having access to new equipment and facilities. We are here to support the school and parents.
All parents and staff are automatically members of FOBS, which is run by a committee of volunteers. We meet regularly working closely with the three elected positions: Chairperson, Treasurer and Secretary.
What do we do?
Throughout the school year FOBS organises a variety of events to raise much-needed funds to further develop the children’s school experience.
Each year we host the popular Christmas and summer fairs. We also run regular small-scale events such as cake sales, dress-down/up days and the sports day BBQ, movie and quiz nights.
We also organise the annual staff and governors V parents rounders challenge.
FOBS also organises the schools’ participation at local community initiatives throughout the year. We run stalls at the annual Henley Christmas Shopping Night.
How do we use funds raised?
All funds raised go directly into supporting the schools’ needs. Working in partnership with the staff, specific targets are planned and funds carefully allocated. These may include books, equipment, school trips.
How to get involved
We are always looking for new ideas and initiatives so your help and input is extremely valuable. All help no matter how big or small is always welcome.
Being an active member can be highly rewarding as well as great fun; so please get in touch. You don’t need experience just enthusiasm!
