As you return to school for the start of this new term, you will notice a fantastic new outdoor learning space that has been developed over the summer holidays. It is still in its infancy at the moment, but children will be using part of it straight away.
A great space, but there is something or someone or lots of someones missing! (Scroll down to see the space in use)
In the next few months, a green house will be erected to the right of the entrance and an outdoor classroom will be built at the back of the space. In addition, decking will be installed around one side of the pond and there is talk of a sensory garden. Amazing plans that will just make our school better and better! Thank you to everyone who has already contributed to this fantastic space.
If you are interested in getting involved and supporting the project, please either share this at reception or speak to Tuc – Thank you.
Since the publication of this article, Cedar Class have used the new outdoor space for their latest maths lesson. Here the children use concrete objects to solve a range of maths problems with whole numbers, decimals and fractions.
