In Henley-on-Thames’ town hall, the Badgemore choir joined three other local primary schools to sing carols in honour of Jesus’ birth.
It was a very eventful evening with lots of prayers and inspirational speeches. One story particularly moved the congregation and that involved a foster child being moved between eight different homes.
Badgemore choir sang seven songs which were warmly received by the people of Henley.
Harry, a member of the Badgemore choir, said, “It was a very heart-warming evening. Receiving the congregations applause was very spirit-lifting.”
“As we entered the the town hall, we started to feel the energy and the excitement around the room. It was very pleasing to hear the appreciation from the audience,” said Juan, another member of the choir.
“It has shown lots of us the real meaning of Christmas and what we should really be celebrating – the birth of Christ,” said Edward.
Miss Burton, our choir teacher, was delighted with the team and very proud of their effort.
The Badgemore choir will be appearing again at the Over 60’s club on Monday 10th December 2018.
