What a day in Maple Class – elections, a visit from the fire brigade and tokens of kindness.
Andy, our local fireman, very kindly agreed to bring his fire engine to the school this week and we all got a chance to learn about fire safety.
“It was good because we got to go inside,” said Andrea, 6 years old.
“We have been learning about safety and so it was great to have professional fireman here to tell us about their job. We learnt all about staying safe,” added Mrs Slade-Nowell.
Straight afterwards, we shared our tokens of kindness with Cedar Class who were delighted by our cards which had statements about why we admired the older children and some great home-made biscuits.
