A Roman Banquet
Well done to Beech class for working hard to collect their reward shells, earning them a well-deserved end of term treat this week when Miss Mason and Mrs Urwin provided them with a Roman Banquet to round off their topic this term. The children donned their togas and laurel crowns and enjoyed a feast of yoghurt and honey, dormice (apparently traditional Roman food, but looking suspiciously like marshmallows to me!), dates, olives, brains (!) and other traditional Roman fare. Entertainment was laid on courtesy of some of the children – it was a thoroughly fabulous afternoon. Well done Beech class!
